Ok, So our Daughter was born a preemie after a few weeks in the Hospital we had to find a safe way to bring our Julia home. It was trying enough to go to the Hospital each day and see her with tubes and wires sticking out of her let alone think about getting her home. Everyone was so confident that one day she would be able leave with little or no complications. She just had to get bigger, but we would need to take extra steps in getting the right type of car seat. You see most car seats are designed for infants that are at least 6 lbs. or better, not babies that are measured in ounces. Well we scoured the internet and found this great infant car bed designed for preemies. It is made by Angel Guard. What a great product they make. They are hard to find but if you a parent of a preemie and you must travel at all them this is the best thing on the market right now. So many other car seat designs assume that an infant can sit up and support themselves. Preemies have a hard time managing to do this. That’s why we bought the car bed. It is the best at supporting our preemie and keeping our daughter safe and snug while riding in the back seat of our car. The latch and buckle do not lay over top of her chest, so no need to worry about her need to fight back against the additional pressure they may cause and the belt strapping is soft and well padded, so no need to worry about her being uncomfortable if she moves around or shifts a little when we stop. My husband and I really give this seat high marks and it really helped us feel safe about taking Julia on short trips.

Well I bought the Safety First car seat for our son Tommy. He is growing so fast and needed get out of the car seat he was in and into a booster seat. I liked this one because this car seat has a removable cup holder. It fits on either side, although I wish it had one for each side but it a mesh storage pocket. I also liked the 2-position adjustable headrest and with 5-position adjustable belt positioning guides we should be able to make this work for Tommy for a few years. Another nice feature about the safety 1st booster seat is that it can be used upright or reclined to make sure he is always comfortable. With our experience with other safety first products this should be a great choice for when it comes to a booster car seats.

We just bought the Eddie Bauer Deluxe 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat online and are very excited to have it in use right away. One of the things that attracted me to the Deluxe three and one car seat was that that they guarantee complete satisfaction and if not then I knew I could return it for a full refund. If they are willing to stand behind their car seats with a claim like that then I could purchase this with the security of knowing that if I needed to I could return it. I picked the deluxe car seat because it came with all the needed stuff for my child to ride in. It has all the head support and side supports for me to feel comfortable when we do put our little one in the car seat that she will be safe and comfortable. I strongly suggest that you buy one because you get every thing you need in a convertible car seat that you will need to allow your child to grow with out needing to buy three car seats to keep them properly secure and safe during a car ride. I just wish it matched the color of my car better.

stars-5-0Our Britax Parkway Tiffany Style Booster Seat, August 22, 2009

By: Second Time Parent

Let me tell you, After having been a parent once the second time around was much easier, at least when it came to buying a car seat. My husband did the research online and I did the shopping and we agreed to buy the britax booster seat and for our little girl. We found the Parkway booster seat, Part number E9041A0 with a nice pink tiffany style seat cover. She was so excited to use it. We had to make her wait to use it though. At she was just under the weight limit, but the day we found her to be 30 pounds, fully clothed and with shoes on we let her start using it. We moved her from an Eddie Bauer toddler seat, one with a 5 point harness and she is so much more comfortable in this seat and we feel it is so much easier to buckle her into the car now.

One of the nice features about this booster seat is that it reclines. As with most booster seats this one uses the car’s seat belt restraint to hold both the child and the booster seat in place if an accident occurs. Well not every car and every car seat have the same angle of the back. The britax adjusts and we were able to get the booster seat to fit snugly into the back of our mazda.

Daddy likes the fact that this seat had to cup holders and allows Brittany to put her drinks some place with out spilling all over the car. I wish we had found this seat for our son when he needed a booster seat a few years ago. This may have prevented the big pink juice stain in our tan carpet we have now.

stars-5-0The Combi DX Car seat and Stroller, July 9, 2009

By: Haley’s Grandmother

We just purchased the DX car seat and stroller system from Combi for our Daughter and Grand Daughter to use. They have a mini-van and the larger car seat and base seems to be a good fit over all. The stroller is light weight and will be good for her to get in and out of the van when she takes Haley to the mall or the Zoo.

This will be so nice for Haley and we can’t wait for her to come to our house and show off her new car seat.

By: Loving Mommy

This seat is SO worth it. I searched for a few months before buying this car seat for my daughter. I read lots of reviews did A TON of research on convertible infant and toddler car seats on the internet and had a hard time deciding if I should spend the money on this seat or just buy a cheaper one. I am so happy that I went ahead a spent the extra money.
The fabric is very easy to clean. When my daughter snacks in the car she can make quite a mess, but all I have ever needed to do was just vacuum the crumbs and wipe up the juice spills.
The latch and buckle is great and very easy to use and the straps have never gotten twisted or tangled. I used this seat as a rear-facing seat for about 3 months until my daughter was big enough to face forward. I love the button you push to loosen the straps; this makes it so easy to get my daughter in and out. I highly recommend this product!!!

stars-5-0Comfortable and easy to use, May 29, 2009

The top clip is not hard or difficult to use but my daughter hasn’t figured out how to open it yet - which is the way I want it. We have also used it as a booster and my husband and I are satisfied with the way the buckle looped through and stayed in place. We like the strap on the bottom that allows us to add some slack or tighten it if need be. That is a really nice feature - especially in the summer when my girl may be wearing a jacket one day and none the next. Also it allows the car seat to be used for different kids that are not the same size. We had another car seat without that and I find that sometimes I can’t get it closed because it’s too tight and sometimes there’s too much slack. More Cosco Car Seats

Graco Snug Ride Car Seat

Posted on 19 May 2009 | 1 response

Graco car seats are the most popular brand sold today. Without compromising safety, parents choose the Graco brand as it is also priced for affordability. There are a few types of Graco car seats to mention.

Graco snug ride car seats have EPS (or Expanded Polystyrene) foam. This foam is one of the most absorbing impact materials available. There is a 5-point harness and a padded insert for the headrest to keep your baby very secure. With the convenient base that stays in the car, it is easy to unlatch the seat and use it for a carrier. It is designed for up to 22 lbs and 29-inches in height and is a rear-facing car seat only. The SnugRide car seat ranks among the top from various consumer magazines and websites.

Graco Infant SafeSeat (Step 1) is designed for infants up to 30 lbs and 32-inches in height. It also doubles as a carrier. This car seat accommodates larger infants allowing the seat to be used longer. Graco Toddler SafeSeat (Step 2) is the next step. It is one of the few on the market today that reclines. This is designed for ages < 1 and up to 40 lbs in weight and 43-inches in height. It also has a removable cup holder and a snack tray that is convenient for long road trips. Both SafeSeats provide the 5-point harness for safety.

All in all, I think this is a great seat and another example of quality Britax engineering. I can foresee that Britax might have issues with people not being able to install this seat properly, though, because people don’t READ THE MANUAL!!! Can I again suggest to read the manual? I gave this seat 4 stars instead of 5 only because I wish it came in more colors and patterns - I loved my Cowmooflage seats, and am not impressed with the color and pattern selection available here. This is the last car seat I will buy, it will take my son all the way through until he can ride like an adult. See additional britax booster car seat
