The top clip is not hard or difficult to use but my daughter hasn’t figured out how to open it yet - which is the way I want it. We have also used it as a booster and my husband and I are satisfied with the way the buckle looped through and stayed in place. We like the strap on the bottom that allows us to add some slack or tighten it if need be. That is a really nice feature - especially in the summer when my girl may be wearing a jacket one day and none the next. Also it allows the car seat to be used for different kids that are not the same size. We had another car seat without that and I find that sometimes I can’t get it closed because it’s too tight and sometimes there’s too much slack. More Cosco Car Seats

This car seat accommodates larger infants allowing the seat to be used longer. Graco Toddler SafeSeat (Step 2) is the next step. It is one of the few on the market today that reclines. This is designed for ages < 1 and up to 40 lbs in weight and 43-inches in height. It also has a removable cup holder and a snack tray that is convenient for long road trips. Both SafeSeats provide the 5-point harness for safety.

All in all, I think this is a great seat and another example of quality Britax engineering. I can foresee that Britax might have issues with people not being able to install this seat properly, though, because people don’t READ THE MANUAL!!! Can I again suggest to read the manual? I gave this seat 4 stars instead of 5 only because I wish it came in more colors and patterns - I loved my Cowmooflage seats, and am not impressed with the color and pattern selection available here.
